History
The Pink Buffalo strain was first by mycologist John Allen in the 1990s. According to John, the strain was discovered during one of his expeditions to Thailand, on his way to Phang Ka beach on Koh Samui island. Ever since the strain’s discovery, it has been popular in the magic mushroom grower community for its unique appearance and its high potency.
Characteristics
Cap: 3-5 cm in diameter, curved on top, usually features a tan color and fades to white / cream towards the edges. The interior flesh is white but bruises blue when exposed to air.
Gills: Initially grey, but darkens to purple and then black as it ages. Amature specimens will have veils connected to the gills.
Stem: Long and medium in size, straight, white/cream in color but bruises blue when touched or damaged.
Spore color: Dark purple
